Today, we have on the line with us guest speakers, Platinum
Presidentials Greg & Annie Nickell. They will talk about how to get people
started, taking that first step and the importance of a fast and profitable
start.
TN President &
CEO Angela
“I am excited…Our Believe to Achieve convention is just around the corner and we can feel the momentum building from all across the country.” - Angela
We just finalized a contract on some great things we’ll be
announcing in Orlando. Wow, you won’t want to miss this.
This week, the Barton family will be in town for their Lifestyles
& Lessons of an Eagle premiere. And later this week, it will be on TNTV…Whoo
Hoo!
“I did a video blog (the link is on TN’s Facebook page) on goals. Now that it is half way through the year, it is the perfect time to evaluate where you are at on meeting your goals and if you are not on track, then adjust where necessary. Darren Hardy’s book, Design Your Best Year Ever is a great tool to help you track your progress . Post your goals on Facebook under my link and you can win a copy of Design Your Best Year Ever”. - Angela
A book that was part of a recent Success Club is Finish Strong
by Dan Green. In it, there’s a great quote….
“the most important thing about having goals is having one.”
Have a plan in place.
As Double Platinum James Keller mentioned on last week’s
call, there are basically 3 types of people you’ll come across:
Builders, Carriers & Customers
Regardless of which category these folks may be in now,
people’s situations can change… So you never know. All of these types of people
can be builders if they:
Are willing to work
Are teachable
Have the burning desire (their why).
“As a teacher, I classify these potential folks as:
Know it all’s – their way and their way only. They may not
be teachable.
Dependents – needy students. Good at wasting both yours and
their time. They may not be willing to work.
Fact- learners – Get going on the right track after their
way doesn’t work. These folks can become builders.
Methodical – once they get the plan down, they’ll likely be builders.
” - Annie
“We’re excited and honored to speak on this call. Folks it is imperative to listen in on these calls. Be on these calls and learn as much as you can. As a leader, you may need to take your new folks by the hand at first and get them going to a fast and profitable start”. - Greg
I’ve heard it said many times before,
“If you figure out how to get people started in TN, all your problems will go away. I firmly believe that.” – Greg
Help somebody start to develop their list asap. Get them to
develop their list, beginning with the 10 hot market names and develop from there.
Folks, that’s their fuel to get started.
Hot market – very small, close-knit
group of people. These are the folks that, if you are 500 miles from home and
your car breaks down in the middle of the night, you would call anyone in the
group and know they would come out and help you. You are tight with these folks
and you hang with and have a mutual
respect for them. Then remind the new IMD to get these folks to come over, but
not to go into too much detail over the phone.
“Joe, what are you doing tomorrow night, oh nothing great,
now you are. I’ve got something I’m
excited about and I wanna run it past you say tomorrow night at 7 pm. There is no way I can explain it over the
phone just get over here tomorrow night. Get excited.”
Don’t get caught up explaining over the phone. “I know from experience. I tried to do it over the phone myself I messed up and then I got back on track and used the system and it worked”. - Greg
Get your brand new IMD to invite folks over their house. You
need to physically be there for support. Even if people cancel, we don’t call
off meetings. So, if no one shows up, we will work on helping you build your
list. And then book another meeting.
Ask those key questions. Helping them find out their why.
What is motivating them to sign up as an IMD.
Explain the urgency.
Help them set a few short term goals.
“Be brief the first night. Then, have them book a meeting within 24-48 hours of the time you sign them up. If you wait too long, they will slip back into the rut of life.” - Greg
You earn while you
learn…learn from examples as you show this and that’s where the points come
from.
BAMFAM = Book a Meeting From a Meeting
Important things:
As upline leader, be sure to get that new IMD on those
weekly conference calls, even if it means you have to 3-way them in.
Train them with good habits.
Lead by example, if you don’t it will cripple your business.
Get them to events – local, regional and national events.
Get a carload of people. See a bigger and
bigger picture building towards the national event.
Vitally important like our Believe to Achieve 8/2 – 8/5
Call blitzes in your team. This way you can meet the new people on your team. See who’s who and who’s excited about the business.
